Accessibility Features

We have implemented the following features to enhance the accessibility of our website:

• Semantic HTML: We use semantic HTML elements to structure our content, making it easier for assistive technologies to understand the organization and meaning of the information.
• Alternative Text for Images: All images on our website have descriptive alternative text (alt text) that conveys the content and purpose of the image to users who cannot see them. For example, instead of "image1.jpg" the alt text would be something like "Interior of The Skylight Studio at Visual Ascent Studios, showcasing natural light and cityscape views."
• Keyboard Navigation: Our website is fully navigable using a keyboard, allowing users who cannot use a mouse to access all content and functionality.
• Color Contrast: We have carefully chosen color combinations to ensure sufficient contrast between text and background, making it easier for users with low vision to read the content. We maintain a contrast ratio of at least 4.5:1 for normal text and 3:1 for large text, as per WCAG guidelines.
• Resizable Text: Users can easily increase or decrease the text size on our website without losing content or functionality. Most browsers allow users to zoom in or out on a webpage to increase or decrease text size. We have designed our website to be responsive and adapt to different text sizes.
• Clear and Consistent Navigation: Our website has a clear and consistent navigation structure, making it easy for users to find the information they need. The main navigation menu is located at the top of each page and provides access to all major sections of the website.
• Form Accessibility: All forms on our website are designed to be accessible to users with disabilities. We use clear and descriptive labels for all form fields, and we provide instructions and error messages to help users complete the forms successfully. For instance, form fields are properly labeled with <label> elements associated with the corresponding <input> elements using the "for" attribute.
• Video Captions and Transcripts: All video content on our website includes captions and transcripts, making it accessible to users who are deaf or hard of hearing.
• ARIA Attributes: We use ARIA (Accessible Rich Internet Applications) attributes to provide additional information about the structure and functionality of our website to assistive technologies. For example, we might use ARIA roles to define the purpose of different elements on the page, such as navigation menus, main content areas, and form fields.
• Skip Navigation Link: A "Skip to Content" link is provided at the top of each page, allowing users to bypass the main navigation menu and jump directly to the main content of the page. This is particularly helpful for users who use screen readers or keyboard navigation.
• Focus Indicators: Visible focus indicators are provided for all interactive elements on our website, such as links, buttons, and form fields. This allows users to easily see which element currently has focus when navigating the website using a keyboard.
